On the right side of the names in the connection list, there are characters like W, Ks and M. What do they mean/are for?

W - wheel controller type. Could be a G25, or an xbox 360 controller, it's just an analog device.
M - Mouse!
Ks - Keyboard, stabilized. This is keyboard buttons, with the lfs software rounding off some of the actions, so it's not as jerky.
K (Kn?) - keyboard, not stabilized. Often stabilized messes some folks up (me!), and unstabilized make it so that the car is responding to your movements only. Problem is, this makes it horribly jerky in multiplayer. ESPECIALLY with lag.

Ye, or you can press TAB to cycle through spectating different people :)

Also for people who might not know this, pressing shift+F = hiding the map/lap info etc. :)

Red. That's as high as they go. Brown is a combination of green and dark red.

^^^ IIRC, they get black two different ways. Popped and when they are very cold.
